The Pandemics are certainly Man-made

The mysterious whispers of secrecy are rippling through the world about the convergence of whether SARS-CoV2 is a naturally occurring narrative or the rise of artificial science-humiliation. The answer is primarily volanting amidst the unrestricted art of incessantly involute horizon of infinite possibilities but the rhythm underlying any of this flamboyant presentment is devoid of precise evidence. Without perambulation into the unnecessary mud of that debate, it is an unfaltering pretension that the epidemic is man-made. An article by Nicholas Wade1, published a few days ago, strikes a chord at the heart of this idea. We can take these two hypotheses separately and can push the process of logical analysis towards the truth. Firstly, if we consider the artificial invention of the virus to be true, then we must not be oblivious about the infallible phrase of Francis Bacon that ‘truth is the daughter of time, not of authority’. And that's what evokes a thrilling memory of espionage from the days of World War II. We must not forget Lona Cohen, who handed over the blueprint of the atomic bomb to Soviet Russia and exposed the horrific game of destruction in front of world. And in the case of Covid too, we can expect the same dreaded standard of time to reemerge and the divulgence of this most ignominious atrocities in the history of human civilization.

But if there is a manifestation of the ogrish gruesomeness of nature behind Covid lues, then we have to blame the unbridled aggression of capital towards natural resources, as well as even human lives. David Quammen, the author of ‘Spillover: Animal Infections and the Next Human Pandemic’, wrote that,

‘We invade tropical forests and other wild landscapes, which harbor so many species of animals and plants — and within those creatures, so many unknown viruses. We cut the trees; we kill the animals or cage them and send them to markets. We disrupt ecosystems, and we shake viruses loose from their natural hosts. When that happens, they need a new host. Often, we are it’2.

Also an article3 in ‘Nature’ by Kate Jones and team indicated that almost 335 diseases that emerged between 1960 and 2004(the period of unlimited growth of manufacturing industry), at least 60% of which came are zoonotic. In this context, Thomas Gillespie, an associate professor in Emory University, told that,

I am not at all surprised about the coronavirus outbreak. The majority of pathogens are still to be discovered. We are at the very tip of the iceberg.4

In addition to these, an article ‘Big Agriculture Is Leading to Ecological Collapse’ from ‘Foreign Policy’ also elucidated the current scenario of CO2 and other consequences of the destructive appetite of capital. On the other hand, the aspect that almost far from even imagination is the melting of permafrost due to climate change and global warming. Scientists told that,

‘The increase in the active layer started in the 1990s and the long-term thawing of the permafrost only started very recently, the last 10 years or so. It’s just the beginning. But it will accelerate with time, and we should expect the degradation of permafrost to pick up over the next few decades.’

And what is the end-result of this warning? It will confirm the palingenesis of the primitive viruses which can infect the human body through water or other essentials of life and replicating itself will ensure another epidemic. Yet those, who are skeptical about it, are suggested to go through the article ‘The permafrost pandemic: could the melting Arctic release a deadly disease?’ and revisit the signal that told us about the two that we know could come out of the permafrost are anthrax and that’s pox viruses, other than that it’s Pandora’s box.’ And it would be ridiculous to be reminded of the current for-profit health care system that has accustomed people to antibiotics. An article6 by Darcy Jimenez told us that antibiotic-resistant superbugs are killing more than 35,000 people in the US every year. And this antibiotic resistance pandemic can kill annually more than the coronavirus pandemic, if not stopped immediately. Can't we call this a man-made epidemic after all these action?

Notwithstanding we haven't seen the slightest effort to stop it until last year. A project called ‘Predict’, which boldly identified about 160 epidemic-capable ‘corona’ viruses since 2009, was stopped by the Trump administration in an instant. About ‘Predict’, Peter Daszak, president of Eco-Health Alliance said that,

‘It was a genius, visionary program that USAID took a big risk to fund and it’s a crying shame it was canceled7.

 He added that,

‘I’m not confident we will learn the lessons from this, though. We saw the same thing happen after Ebola and then Zika. We are always behind with pandemics, we are flying blind. We have hit the snooze button several times and now here’s the big one’.

Along with this the world has witnessed the insouciance tweets by D. Trump in the context of coming out from the Paris Agreement, that,

‘The Paris Agreement isn’t working out so well for Paris. Protests and riots all over France. People do not want to pay large sums of money, much to third world countries (that are questionably run), in order to maybe protect the environment. Chanting “We Want Trump!” Love France’8

India, also, is not far behind in this regard. They are too, addicted to the game of destroying the environment by exerting the influence of political corruption. An article by renowned daily revealed that,

A 20-year-old rail line project in the Western Ghats in Karnataka, which was rejected by several statutory bodies in the past and remained shelved amid fears the extent of irreparable damage it could cause to primary forests and unique biodiversity, has got the State Board for Wildlife (SBWL) authorities’ nod March 20, reversing its rejection move 11 days earlier.’9

But why can't the reinless pace of environmental destruction be stopped? However, in recent times the governments of many countries, especially the US, have made various promises and targets to prevent this but it is better not to expect too much from it. Because only a transformation of capital and surplus profit is working here. Many have identified it as Green Capitalism, but we can come to the conclusion without going into it. A recent study by Euler Hermes10 showed that how the world economic center of gravity is moving faster towards Asia (China is a leader in this regard), and it has chosen artificial intelligence as its next weapon. So to maintain the western control on the world economy the butterflies of the service industry is now flying around out of the shell of the manufacturing industry. According to this in the coming days just as the need to occupy land-forest is gone, so is the need for labor. And that is why different new research based on AI in the field of geoengineering11 and artificial meat12 is coming to the news. Everyone is saying that the days of fossil fuels or the destruction of forests and wildlife are over. News are about,

‘more than 1,500 companies have committed to net-zero emissions by mid-century, as have 11,000 cities and at least $9 trillion in private assets under management’13.

But in return for what? Kate Cell, Climate Campaign Manager of Union Of Concerned Scientists, said in an article14 , that, by installing large solar panels in the place of more than 60 acres of dense forest. Numerous examples can be given where the face-message of protecting the environment is being uttered by the masked-motive of destroying the environment. Actually it is impossible to prevent an impending epidemic due to environmental degradation without abandoning this immense greed for profit. And new Antony told that profit is an honorable thing.

In March, 2019 an article ‘Past As Prologue’ by Anthony Annett and Joshua Lipsky, published in ‘Finace and Development’, has reminded us about the fall of Roman Empire due to climate crisis and endless epidemics. The illation is that

‘The bottom line is that sustainable development is of enduring importance—whether we are talking about 130 BCE, 530, or 2030’

Whether coincidental or not is unknown, but, a very recent report informed us that the

‘Taskforce on Scaling the Voluntary Carbon Market suggested a market of 1-5 Gigatons of CO2 by 2030, with perhaps two-thirds directed at Nature Based Solutions (NBS), meaning that tens of billions of dollars of investment in NBS are potentially at stake’13.

Finally, whether the debate on virus is natural or artificial be, there is certain assurance of uncontrolled human consciousness behind its appearance. So it is undeniable that the epidemic is man-made. And the accompanying epidemics of future are of no difference.

  1. The thick veil of secrecy now removed, it is time to spot the hand maidens of this virus jump off. The conspiracy theories going around now have a root. Biological warfare, de-populization, one world, one order, the tie between giants like Google, Facebook etc may not be all that wild. The world will no longer be the same again. But "Why ?" that is the question, which needs an urgent answer.
